I was asked if I would be one of the speakers at the EMCC conference in Florence, it is an honor and I of course accepted.
My first thought and topic I sent to the projectgroup was: The Podcast Bottega: A Modern Arena for Mentoring
I said that: In Renaissance Florence, masters and apprentices gathered in the bottega—a vibrant workshop where ideas were exchanged, skills honed, and the legacies of great masters shaped through genuine dialogue and collaboration. Today, in our digital age, the spirit of the bottega is reborn through the podcast medium, opening doors to an entirely new dimension of mentoring.
In this unique talk, I will demonstrate how podcasting, with its blend of authenticity, presence, and scalability, has become one of today’s most powerful mentoring platforms. Drawing from my experience as Mentorguru and host of “The Talk by Mentorguru”, for four years, I will offer participants insights into how podcasts create dynamic learning spaces where individuals meet, stories are shared, and lasting connections are established—all while expanding the mentor role from one-to-one to one-to-thousands.
How podcasting serves as a digital mentoring workshop—a modern bottega: The podcast uniquely combines traditional storytelling with modern technology, enabling a mentoring experience without geographic boundaries.
I wanted to talk about podcast because I have one and I wanted to use that. The feedback I got was even better; Can you do a Live podcast on stage with guests?
Wow what an opportunity, and so much fun.
So I will hold you update…
